Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has been conferred with a chieftaincy title “Agunachemba 1 of Igbo land” in Abia State.
This comes despite the controversies generated by the advertorial of the letters conveying the planned conferment of chieftaincy title to Governor Ganduje.
The title was conferred by the chairman of the Abia State and South East Council of Traditional Rulers, His Eminence, Eze Eberechi Dick on Thursday.
The Abia state governor, Mr. Okezie Ikpeazu had, in a letter, practically begged his Kano state counterpart to accept the Igbo chieftaincy title for looking after Abians in Kano State.
