Ghanaian Govt Declares A Week Mourning For Kofi Annan

The Ghanaian government has declared a week of mourning after death of former United Nations Security General, Late Mr. Kofi Annan.
The president of the Republic of Ghana, Mr. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, had paid tribute to Late Annan.
Speaking, he said that Ghana’s national flag will fly at half-mast across the country and in all of Ghana’s diplomatic missions across the world, from Monday, 20th August, 2018, for one week.
Taking to his Twitter handle, he President Dankwa Akufo-Addo wrote:
“The Government and people of Ghana, First Lady Rebecca and I are deeply saddened by the news of the death, in Berne, Switzerland, of one of our greatest compatriots, Mr. Kofi Annan
“Ghana declares a week of mourning after the death of former UN secretary-general #KofiAnnan and declares he was “one of our greatest compatriots”.
Late Mr. Kofi Annan died after a brief illness in Berne, Switzerland on Saturday at the age of 80.
