Former governor of Enugu State, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani

A former Governor of Enugu State, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani has lost his return bid to the Senate.

Nnamani who is notoriously known for political thuggery lost to the Labour Party candidate, Sir Kelvin Chukwu.

The Labour Party candidate scored 69, 136 to defeat Chimaroke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who polled 48,701 votes.

Recall that Kelvin replaced his brother, Oyibo Chukwu, who was brutally assassinated alongside five of supporters few days to the Feb. 25 presidential and National Assembly elections.
