The emir of Dutse in Jigawa State, Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi, has died at the age of 78.
News Band Newspaper gathered that the first class monarch died at Cedercrest Hospital in Abuja at about 5pm on Tuesday.
Born in 1945 at Yargaba village in Dutse, the capital of Jigawa State, Dr Sanusi attended Dutse Elementary School from 1952 to 1956.
After his post primary education, he obtained a National Certificate in Education, NCE, from the Ahmadu Bello University, ABU Zaria, and later a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in International Business from Ohio University, United States of America.
He further obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma, PGD, in Project Planning and Analysis from Bradford University, United Kingdom.
He became the emir of Dutse in 1995.

While condoling with the family, the governor of Jigawa State, Badaru Abubakar, described the late emir as a “true leader and a respected figure in the community, known for his wisdom, compassion, and dedication to the well-being of his people”.
He also recognised the late emir’s contributions to the growth and development of Dutse and the positive impact he had on the community.
The governor offered his thoughts and prayers to the late Emir’s family and loved ones during this difficult time and said that the late Emir’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.
“May the soul of the late Emir rest in peace and may the memories of his life bring comfort and solace to those he left behind,” the statement added.
