Ekiti Polls: Fayemi Choses 74y.o Egbeyemi As Running Mate

The All Progressives Congress [APC] candidate for the upcoming Ekiti State gubernatorial election, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi has chosen 74 year old Chief Bisi Egbeyemi as his running mate to fly the APC flag for the July Governorship elections.
An Ado Ekiti born politician, Egbeyemi is a lawyer by profession haven studied at the Nigerian Law School in Lagos after studying law at University of Ife.
He also earlier went to College of Education in University of Lagos.
He was a former Commissioner of Education in Ekiti State as well as a former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in the state.
He was also a former Executive Chairman Ado Ekiti Local Government and a former Hon. Member of old Ondo State House of Assembly.
On Wednesday, the former Minister for Solid Minerals, Dr. Fayemi resigned as a Minister of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet.

He said he resigned in order to pursue his ambition to become, for the second time, the governor of Ekiti State.
On their part, the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] has chosen Deji Ogunsakin as the running mate to the party cabdidate, Prof. Olusola Eleka.
Ogunsakin, 39, almost twice younger than his APC counterpart, Egbeyemi.
The PDP deputy governorship candidate was the Ado LG Chairman in 2017 which is less than one year ago.
Egbeyemi, on the other hand, was Ado LG chairman in 1993 which is 25 years ago.
