Dreaded terrorist commander, Lawal Kwalba surrenders to troops
Following intensified military operations targeting terrorist hideouts in Kaduna State, a dreaded terrorist commander identified as Lawal Kwalba on 28 of May, 2024 surrendered to Nigerian troops.
The surrender was disclosed in a statement by the army on Thursday.
The statement highlighted the success of these operations in compelling high-profile terrorists to give up their activities.
The army’s statement detailed the recovery of crucial items during Kwalba’s surrender.
“During the surrender, troops recovered two AK-47 rifles, a motorbike, and two magazines loaded with 7.62 mm Special ammunition from the terrorist surrendered. Kwalba is currently undergoing thorough profiling at a military facility.”
This profiling process aims to extract valuable information that could further assist in dismantling remaining terrorist networks.
