Federal Capital Territory (FCT), High Court in the Bwari Area Council of Abuja, has remanded the party’s factional leader of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Edozie Njoku in prison for alleged forgery.
Njoku was sent to prison with one Chukwuemeka Nwoga over an alleged forgery of a Supreme Court judgment.
Recall that Njoku and Nwoga had been accused by the police authorities of forging a Supreme Court letter which reinstated them as the national chairman and national youth leader of APGA as against the chairmanship of Victor Oye.
Presiding over the matter, Justice Mohammed Madugu last week issued a bench warrant on Njoku and Nwoga over their failure to appear before the court.
Panam Ntui, counsel to the defence, argued their bail application shortly after they pleaded not guilty to a 14-count charge filed against them in the name of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba.

At the resumed hearing on Monday, the court vacated the bench warrant and upheld the opposition mounted by the prosecution counsel, Ezekiel Rimasonte against the bail application by the defence lawyer on the matter.
Justice Mohammed Magudu in his ruling ordered that Njoku and Nwoga be remanded in the Suleja Correctional Centre in Niger State until the determination of their bail application on November 30.
