Chatham House: Former British envoy to Nigeria, Arkwright hails Obi

A former British envoy to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright, has applauded the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, over his outstanding performance at Chatham House yesterday.

Obi who was at the international think-tink organization, thrilled his audience after he took time to discuss exhaustively his vision for policy and governance reforms in Nigeria, including the priorities for tackling deep-rooted insecurity and corruption, and measures to promote social and political mobility for Nigerian citizens.

The diplomat while hailing Obi said that the presentation of clear and implementable policies by the former governor of Anambra state showed he understood the problems of Nigeria and the best way to address it

Arkwright said this on Monday after listening to the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, at Chatham House.

The former high commissioner through his official Twitter handle, noted that he was not only impressed by the speeches delivered by Obi, but his practical solutions to the numerous issues confronting the country.

Arkwright said, “Good to be @ChathamHousefor the @PeterObievent today. I was impressed – practical solutions for Naija’s many challenges, coupled with a passion for the country – and for getting the job done.”
