Christ Embassy’s “One Million Prayer Outreaches,” campaign, the first of its kind in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) hits the National Assembly as the House Representatives has not only endorsed the prayer meetings in its domain but also has agreed to be a point of distribution of the ministry’s monthly devotional, the Rhapsody of Realities.

The prayer outreach which is an initiative of Christ Embassy, Abuja Zone One is already serving as a rallying point of intercessory prayers by members of the zone and several Christians and non-Christians across the FCT who are genuinely eager for an urgent positive turnaround in the affairs of our nation Nigeria.

As said by Dipo Fisho, Zonal Pastor Christ Embassy Abuja Zone One, the concept of a one million prayer outreach was born out of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s admonition from 1 Timothy 2:1-4 that: “The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know.

“Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation.

“This is the way God wants us to live.

“He wants not only us but everyone saved, you know and for everyone to get to know the truth we’ve learned.”

According to Dipo, “It is an out-of-church prayer meeting that’s already introducing a new wave of glory across the nation’s seat of government.

“The first of its kind in the Federal Capital Territory, the outreach is already recording massive interests and participation from all strata of the Abuja society. Tremendous testimonies on the impact of the program have already started flooding in.

“One of the biggest testimonies so far is that many offices including the House of Representatives, Federal Secretariat and several other agencies of government that we thought will not welcome such exercise are the ones that opened up on their own accord unto us and are inviting us to come and establish a prayer schedule in their offices.”

It is a one-month programme and expectations are high as greater participation and impact are expected in this special prayer event.

Pastor Dipo explained that “over the years, June has been a special month of prayer for the LoveWorld nation as the President, Rev Chris Oyakhilome was instructed by God’s Spirit. At this year’s June Global Communion Service which was held on Sunday, June 4, 2024, Pastor Chris reiterated the uniqueness of the month of June as a special month of prayer.

He explained that Pastor Chris, has always stressed that if there’s any time to pray for leaders of our nation Nigeria, it is now because of the many things we are seeing which we know are the devices of the devil to turn the hearts of our leaders and make them tools for the wicked spirits to afflict the nations of the world including ours.

“We are not ignorant of the devices of the wicked spirits against our nation Nigeria, so we are putting the armour of prayer everywhere across the nation’s capital.”

As said by the Zonal Pastor, the daily prayer outreaches are currently conditioning the city’s atmosphere from Aso Rock through all corridors of power to institutions, suburbs and slums, stressing that “we are spreading righteousness and our influence robustly everywhere. “

“From what we have seen, it’s obvious that every Nigerian no matter the faith/believe wants prayers especially in these times and organizing prayers even for pupils and students as part of the campaign has been a wonderful way to bring together young minds in a peaceful and inspiring setting to pray for the welfare and all-round wellbeing of their country.”

So far we have locations in Government buildings both inside the Federal Secretariat and the FCDA headquarters, public parks and other recreational spaces near these near government offices.

During this prayer programme, individuals and groups are taking out specific time slots for each session outside the church to pray for the nation and our leaders at locations of their choice including offices, shops, workshops, markets, homes etc.

The impact of this glorious exercise in the lives of all participants and on our nation’s capital Abuja will doubtlessly be unprecedented. The One million prayer outreaches programme has already recorded remarkable testimonies of tremendous impact all around the FCT.

As explained by the Zonal Pastor, the city-wide programme will run throughout the month of June and maybe into the first week of July as the Spirit leads.

“It’s a time we are applying the knowledge of God’s Word we received to effect changes in our nation Nigeria starting from Abuja, the seat of the central government,” he said.
