A car that was buried with two bankers and their driver inside has been discovered at Tudun Adabu in Obi Local Government in Nasarawa state.

The murdered bankers are Alhaji Hassan Gidado, the managing director of the Police Microfinance Bank, and Mr. Tunde Banwo.

The two top bankers, who  are Abuja residents, were in Lafia for the wedding of a child of the police commissioner-in-charge of Cooperative.

ElombahNews gathered that the victims were allegedly ambushed by a suspected criminal gang.

The gang, believed to be Ombatse boys, an outlawed criminal group, reportedly killed them and set them ablaze with their car.

They later buried them with the car by the riverside where they were discovered.

So far, fourteen people have been arrested in connection with the murder.

Reacting to the event in a news conference on Monday, the Nasarawa Police Commissioner, Umar Shehu said the bodies were exhumed.

After the exhumation, they were deposited at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia.

CP Shehu said the suspected murderers would soon be taken to court.

He also assured residents that measures have been taken to curb the activities of the Ombatse group.
