Buhari Signs Bill To Establish Nigeria Centre For Disease Control

President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the bill for an act to establish the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control [NCDC].

NCDC announced this in a press release issued on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.

The statement was made available to ElombahNews by the Technical Assistant to the CEO on Communications, Mr. Jeremiah O. Agenyi.

NDCD expressed gladness that the Bill for an Act to establish the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has been signed by the President Muhammadu Buhari.

It said that it gives the agency a full legal mandate to continue protecting the health of Nigerians.

In a related development, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and the Federal Ministry of Health, in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Federal Ministry of Environment, World Health Organisation, key private sector and civil society organisations are working together to raise awareness on the misuse of antibiotics in Nigeria.

With the theme MISUSE PUTS US ALL AT RISK, a series of activities have been slated to mark the week.
