An activist, Mr. Paul Ikechukwu Njoku, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of ‘running an accursed and clueless government’.
Mr. Njoku made the remarks in a short memo he made available to News Band on Saturday in the light of the unprecedented hardship occasioned by the scarcity of Naira notes across the country.
Nigerians are presently groaning under the burden of spending hours in long queues trying to withdraw unavailable cash from empty Automated Teller Machines (ATMs).
The shortage of physical cash in Nigeria has caused major hardship in Nigeria as people are spending hours in long queues at banks just to withdraw cash.
Many are forced to rely more on digital transaction platforms which tend to be unreliable due to poor bank network coverage in Nigeria.
POS operators also charge outrageous sums, as much as N1000 for a N10,000 withdrawal.
In view of the development, Njoku blamed the President Buhari-led government of bringing hardship upon the people he should ordinarily be protecting.
He recalled that Nigerians roiled under a similar situation when the then General Muhammadu Buhari forced a change of currency in the country in 1984, thereby engendering untold hardship upon the masses.
He also recalled how the Buhari Government hoarded Covid-19 palliatives during the pandemic, again forcing Nigerians to groan and cry for help in near anarchy.
He summed it up with the horrible reality staring Nigerians in the face of having to purchase Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at insanely exorbitant prices up to 500 Naira per liter, yet it remains unavailable across the country.
In the light of recent developments, Njoku wrote:
“Should I remind you that President Muhammadu Buhari-led Nigerian government hoarded the Covid-19 palliatives during the pandemic?

“His anti-peoples’ government is also hoarding the new naira notes amidst hardship, hunger and unprecedented insecurity in the country.
“He runs an accursed and clueless government of all time.
“Nigerians are aware that he is not in-charge of his government neither does he know what Nigerians are facing on daily basis.
“He is deeply clueless and incompetent as the worst president in the history of Nigeria. His kind must not happen to Nigeria again.
“His clueless government is hoarding petrol hence selling at exorbitant prices. Yet, his government needs your vote to change the All Progessives Congress (APC) by voting Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu of bala blu and bula bla.”
He, therefore, urged Nigerians to vote for the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, for a new Nigeria. Read more.
