Buhari Has Killed Nigeria’s Democracy — Fani-Kayode

Former Minister of Aviation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode has lamented the death of democracy in Nigeria in the hands of the incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari.
He also expressed fear that President Buhari might not “leave power this year or anytime in the near future”.
In a short memo made available to ElombahNews, Mr. Fani-Kayode noted the rate the Buhari-led federal government is clamping down on members of the opposition.
He recalled several dissenting voices that have been “framed” as follows:
“Deji Adeyanju in custody and being framed with murder.
“Dino Melaye in custody and being framed with attempted murder.
“Doyin Okupe in custody and being framed with corruption.
“Sambo Dasuki in custody and being framed with corruption.
“Ibrahim El-Zakzaky in custody and being framed with murder.
“Nnamdi Kanu in exile and being framed with treason.”
On the recent travails of the Chief Justice of Nigeria [CJN], Justice Walter Onnoghen, he said:

In conclusion, he said:
“This is all part of a well-crafted script. The bitter truth is that democracy is dead in Nigeria.
“If anyone thinks that Buhari intends to leave power this year or anytime in the near future they need to think again.”
