Security operatives of all ranks, files and calibers including the Nigerian Army, Police, Civil Defence, Immigration and Prisons authorities have stormed the home of the missing leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB], Mr. Nnamdi Kanu in what is perceived as “show of force”.

The move came ahead of the proposed Operation Python Dance III and the forthcoming sit-at-home planned by IPOB on September 14, 2018.

The sit-at-home is in commemoration of the September 14, 2017, raid on the home of Mr. Kanu which saw dozens of people butchered by security operatives.

Since the bloody invasion, Nnamdi Kanu and his parents have not been seen or heard.

Our correspondent, Mr. Somto Okonkwo, writing about the development, stated:

“Barely one week ahead of the announced “sit at home” exercise in commemoration of the fallen comrades who were brutally murdered by the Nigerian Military on the 14th of Sept 2017 when Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s residence was unlawfully and illegally raided in Afaraukwu Ibeku, the peace of that community has once again been threatened by the presence of the combined forces of the Nigerian Military, the Civil defence, The Immigration and Prisons authority this Friday morning Sept 7, 2018.

“These aforementioned forces stormed the community with 8 official vehicles, blaring their sirens which left women and children scampering for safety, they blocked all the major routes thereby halting completely, vehicular and pedestrian movement throughout their stay, brandishing their guns and other ammunition!

“This show of force lasted for almost 20 minutes before they all retired to their respective vehicles and zoomed off.

“As at the time of filling this report, normalcy hasn’t returned to the community as people are still scared to come outside!

“Now the big question still remains, for how long will Afara community be haunted and held under siege by the Nigerian Military?”
