Former governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim has officially dumped the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] for the All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA], ElombahNews has been reliably informed.

According to our correspondent, Mr. Eneh Victor Chigozie, Ohakim will on July 27, formally declare to contest the governorship of Imo state on the platform of APGA for the 2019 election.

Speaking about his possible endorsement for APGA candidacy, Mr. Eneh said:

“He has enough fund to execute the election. Most importantly, the same Church that mobilised and voted him out, wants him back.

“It is Ohakim for Imo again!”

Ohakim, it could be recalled fell to APGA’s then candidate, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, during the 2011 Imo State governorship election

Now, however, he wants to use the same APGA to return.

Meanwhile, Okorocha, it was gathered, is seriously rooting for his son-in-law, Uche Ugwumba Nwosu, under the All Progressives Congress [APC] to succeed him in 2019.
