ElombahNews is in possession of information revealing plots by the All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA] leadership to expel Iyom Bianca Ojukwu.

A source within the committee informed our correspondent, Mr. Eneh Victor Chigozie about a disciplinary committee constituted by APGA to expel Hon Owelle Onyeka Mbaso.

The source, however, revealed that Owelle Mbaso is not the major target of the committee but Iyom Ojukwu.

According to the source, those behind the witch-hunt are only attempting to use Owelle to test the possibility of also expelling Bianca Ojukwu.

Bianca Ojukwu is at the forefront of criticism against Ozo Victor Oye who organised the worst party primaries where many aspirants said they were duped by party leaders.

However, a chieftain of APGA who responded to the plot said, using Owelle Mbaso to know the reactions of the people before moving against Bianca Ojukwu will be an exercise in futility.

He maintained that any attempt to expel Owelle and Bianca will be the end of APGA in Anambra state.

Another leader of APGA who spoke on condition of anonymity said that the party leadership is on a self destruction.

He wondered why the party chairman, Ozo Victor Oye will be constituting a panel to expel strong party members instead of a committee to reach out to the aggrieved members.

“Party members were duped during primaries and any plot to silence their anger forcefully will bury the party”, he concluded.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the 5 man APGA disciplinary committee constituted to expel Mbaso from the party has resigned.

It was gathered that Sir Andrew Nwanosike resigned when he gathered that the party chairman wants to use him to suppress the critical voices against his ‘tainted’ leadership.

But the resignation of Chief Nwanosike didn’t stop the witch-hunt. One Mr Ogonna Obi from Idemili south LGA was quickly named as his replacement.

At the sitting of the committee today, Barr Emeka Onwuzuruigbo led other team of lawyers to represent Owelle Mbaso.

The committee which sat at the APGA state secretariat Awka, could not begin the probe as the issue of service was raised by Owelle Mbaso’s counsel.

Barr Onwuzuruigbo told the panel that Mbaso was not properly served. He wondered how a panel of enquiry could summon his client through a mere text message.

Report shows that the committee was embarrassed by his objection which prompted them to quickly serve Owelle through his lawyer before adjourning to tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Barr Onwuzuruigbo told the committee that his client can only be available next week.
