Five of the girls confirmed dead
ElombahNews has been reliably informed that the abducted Dapchi schoolgirls have been released by their captors, the deadly terrorist group, Boko Haram.
An anonymous caller, who spoke with ElombahNews on Wednesday morning, said the little town of Dapchi in Yobe State is presently agog with the news.
Our correspondent said that 104 of the girls were released early Wednesday morning leaving one behind.
One of the parents was quoted as saying that his daughter refused to convert to Islam, hence was refused to go with the rest.
Five of the girls were confirmed dead leaving 104 released to their people.
The release of the school girls tagged “Dapchi Girls” comes barely 2 days after the Human Rights Group, Amnesty International accused the Nigerian military of failing to prevent the abduction of 110 schoolgirls in Yobe state despite being warned.
Amnesty International in a statement said security forces failed to act on advance warnings that a convoy of Boko Haram fighters was heading to Dapchi town.
The statement which was signed by Amnesty International’s Nigeria Director, Ossai Ojigho, also accuses the military of failing to respond while the insurgents conducted an armed raid on government girls science and technical college on February the 19th.
