Former Governor of Ekiti State, Peter Ayodele Fayose has lambasted Chief Bode George over his recent statement directed to him, accusing him of treachery.
Fayose made the remarks against Bode George on his verified Twitter handle late Friday.
He told him to “take a rest” because members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) “still remember his negative statement concerning PDP on Ekiti, Osun and Rivers States elections”.
Bode George had said that APC was going to deal with Wike the same way they dealt with Fayose and Adeleke.

Speaking further, Fayose informed the older party member that they still have the audio as a reference point that will never be forgotten.
He said: “I just read the response of Chief Bode George to his understanding of what I said concerning the Edo State election.
“Even though I won’t like to dignify him with a response, it is important that I set the records straight because it appears that he may have deliberately read different meanings to what Political gains he wants to make out of it and I careless.
“My position is that, for obvious reasons, I am not a fan of both Gov Obaseki and Oshiomhole.
“That notwithstanding, I believe that Obaseki will win, but he should honour his agreement with the PDP by not returning to APC after assuming office for the second term for flimsy excuses.
“It is equally important for Chief Bode George to know that I am not the mouthpiece of South West PDP.

Replying to Fayose, a PDP group tweeted:
“Bode George that said APC was going to deal with Wike the same way they dealt with Fayose and Adeleke.
They came with all the federal might in Nigeria and Wike still defeated them. Bode George is a mole and that is why PDP has not been able to win Lagos for years now!”
Another tweep, Babashola, commended Fayose and blasted Bode George thus:
A sleeper cell who collects monies from PDP to lose to APC and do about face against his party only to take gratis and contracts from APC.
Also Jimi should quit Lagos politics. He’s another mole. I’m not a politician but we in Lagos have seen this writing on the wall.”
