This updates the earlier release with a profile of the slain priests and a screen grab of the other priest’s Facebook page and a condolence quote:

– Revd Felix Washima Tyolaha was born on January 6, 1973 to the family of Lydia Hembadoon and Tyolaha Awunde  in Gwer local government area of Benue State.

He attended St. Paul’s Primary School, Ijoku, Sagamu, Ogun State from 1981 to 1987. From 1987 to 1993 he studied at Remo Divisional High School Sagamu where he  bagged his O level Certificate.

Revd Felix then enrolled for his degree programme at Benue State University from 1997 to 2001 where he obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Biology. He then proceeded for NYSC programme in Yobe State.

Employed and inspired by the late Father James Hunter C.S.Sp, Revd Felix taught subjects including: Integrated Science, English and Biology at St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Nyiman. In 2006, Revd Felix like the Apostles, abandoned his hard earned profession to answer his calling to the priesthood with the Via Christi Society, at the Mother House in Makurdi.

He completed his studies in Philosophy at STAMS in 2010 and in 2013 he completed his studies in Theology at the same institution.

Revd Felix was ordained a deacon on May 14, 2014 and was sent to the Institute of St. Anselm Kent in the United Kingdom; there he obtained a certificate in Community and Pastoral Leadership in the year 2014 before returning to Nigeria to serve his community until his untimely slaughter yesterday.
