The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has defeated All Progressive Congress (APC) in the local government of Speaker of House of Representatives , Yakubu Dogara in the Bauchi South Senatorial district rerun election.
Dogara is from Tafawa Balewa local government of Bauchi state.
The PDP Senatorial candidate, Ladan Salihu got 6,646 votes while APC candidate , Yahaya Gumau got 3992 in the election which was conducted on August 11, 2018.
