Once upon a time in the remote kingdom of Ogwashi-Uku, a group of little kids were playing around their neighborhood and suddenly they sighted an elderly man sneakily grabbed a fowl and thrust into his flowing gown. The kids immediately shouted thief, thief, and went after the man. As the man made his escape bid he saw another elderly man approaching and quickly ran to him for protection.

Before the man could explain to his protector what was happening the kids immediately surrounded both of them shouting thief, thief, this man stole our fowl and it is right there under his cloth. Look at it under his cloth. You can also notice the fowl struggling. The evidence was their live and direct. It was beyond all reasonable doubts, to use the popular legal parlance in Nigeria.

The protector-elder finding himself in a quandary looked around and calmly said to the kids: “Alright let me look under the man’s cloth and see if there is actually a fowl inside.” The kids echoed in unison with unequalled confidence: Yes! Look inside his cloth, the foul is inside and you can equally hear its sound. As the man poked his eyes into his fellow elder’s cloth, the thief-elder turned to him with a twinkle of the eye and said, “Yes my mate, just use the eye of an elder and check if a fowl is actually under my cloth.”

The elder looked under the man’s cloth with the eye of an elder and saw a fowl struggling for its life but calmly turned to the kids and said, my children I have looked under this man’s cloth with the eye of an elder and I saw no fowl inside. You should leave him alone. The kids were utterly confused and saw themselves betrayed by the only credible witness before them. But they were helpless.

This is the graphic expression of what is currently playing out between Nigerians and their leading politicians over the death of their President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari and the subsequent imposition of rolling contract-Presidents first from Republic of Sudan and currently from Niger Republic.

When in June 2018 I landed in Ngaoundere, the Capital City of Adamaoua Region of Republic of Cameroon in my search for the shortest route of escape, I was strongly advised against stepping my foot in Niger Republic because that is the home-country of the man currently sitting as President Muhammadu Buhari.

While in protective hospital admission under United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) from June to August 2018 at District Hospital, Batouri, Eastern Region of Republic of Cameroon, I was again informed by a benevolent Hausa woman that the man called Jibrin of Sudan had been replaced by Umorou from Niger Republic. This woman who was married to a Central African Republic Fulani refugee indeed rescued me from Central African Republic Fulani refugee mobs hired by agents of the Nigerian Government to lynch me right inside the hospital. What the woman and two other Hausa men I met respectively in Burkina Faso and Republic of Guinea is that outside the shores of Nigeria, the Hausa regard other native Nigerians more as brothers than they regard the Fulani.

Again, while in Togolese Republic, I was told in 2020 by my fellow refugees from Niger Republic that the Present President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria is the second Niger Republic impostor whose real name is Aminou, after Jibrin of Sudan. In other words, since President Muhammadu Buhari died in 2017, Mr. Aminou of Niger Republic is the third impostor-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Nigerians would agree with me that they are indeed horribly hypnotized by whatever means the Fulani are using to cage and intimidate the best brains of the most populous Black nation in the world. At what point will Nigerians rise up and tell that man in Aso Villa parading as late President Muhammadu Buhari to vacate Aso Villa and go back to his native Niger Republic?

Have a lot of spoken and unspoken indices not shown that the man on the seat of Nigerian Government as President is not President Muhammadu Buhari? How would the present generations of Nigeria explain to their future generations that once upon a time after fifty years of their independence from their British Colonial Masters, their nation was re-conquered and ruled by their insignificant northern neighbor called Niger Republic?

The now incarcerated leader of Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu had been a lone voice in the wilderness who consistently and unrepentantly echoed the claim that the man parading himself as Muhammadu Buhari and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is an impostor from Republic of Sudan called Jibrin. I and indeed Nigerians have also listened to the revered Bishop David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel echoed the same claim that the real President Muhammadu Buhari and original husband of Aisha Buhari died far back in 2017 in a London hospital and, was subsequently buried in Saudi Arabia. Nigerians have also been inundated with photographs and incriminating political sceneries that deeply reveal the death of Muhammadu Buhari and soundly betray the identities of these rotating impostors.

Nigeria we hail thee! Arise O’ Compatriots! What is happening to the once great giant of Africa, the once pride of the Black race? What is happening to Nigerians? Is this the way the great giant will go down into the abyss of ignominious political death? God Save the Queen! As our British colonial masters once taught us to say!

I remember informing my erstwhile Director at the Institute of African Studies, University of Nigeria, and the erudite Prof Emeka Nwabueze in 2017 that the rumor that President Muhammadu Buhari was dead was real and founded, but he never believed me like most hypnotized Nigerians do today. Before fleeing Nigeria I consulted twenty-one esoteric men of God (Traditional Diviners) and all confirmed that the man sitting in Aso Villa as President Muhammadu Buhari is an impostor.

I am therefore reasserting that President Muhammadu Buhari died in 2017 and his wife Aisha Buhari is a widow in accordance   with Islamic traditions. It is in obedience to this golden truth that I present the following ponders on the death of President Muhammadu Buhari and widowhood of Aisha Buhari.

Ever wondered why the State Governors and Ministers are granted free hands to corruptly enrich themselves of public funds under the protection of a non-prosecution agreement with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)?

Ever pondered why the likes of Dr. Reuben Abati, Reno Omokri, Femi Fani-Kayode, Dino Melaye and the current Minister of State for Labour and Productivity Festus Keyamo are unrepentantly and unashamedly glued to Fulani slavery and Muslim interests even as professed Christians?

Ever pondered why for nearly eight years the so called President Muhammadu Buhari has not reshuffled his Cabinet?

Ever pondered why every Minister and high Government official reels in unprecedented corruption with impunity without fear of prosecution?

Ever pondered why killing and kidnapping of innocent Nigerians are menacingly out of control and those who act as protectors and negotiators for these armed kidnappers are protected by the same Federal Government?

Ever pondered why Kuje Prison at the Federal Capital Territory could be raided by Muslim bandits, razed down and all the inmates released while the Federal Government only tells us stories about the number of escapee inmates arrested and nothing about the arrest of the invaders?

Ever pondered why Islamic bandits could boldly blow up a passenger train between Abuja and Kaduna cities within the center of the country and held the passengers hostage for nearly eight months while the captors’ relatives paid mind-blowing ransoms for their piecemeal freedom?

Ever pondered why Islamic bandits invaded the Owo Catholic Church down Southwest on a Sunday and slaughtered seventy-six worshippers and left unscathed, only for a band of innocent street urchins to be gathered few months later and paraded as culprits?

Ever pondered why China could have the audacity to build special Police Stations exclusive for her citizens in a sovereign nation like Nigeria?

Ever pondered why Nigeria and indeed Nigerians are treated with contemptuous disrepute by other nations?

These are the thirty ponders of President Muhammadu Buhari’s death which Nigerians should ponder on, this time not with the eye of the Ogwashi-Uku elder but with the eagle eye of a people whose existence is under threat. Let Nigerians ask themselves this fundamental question: if truly Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) of the famed 2015 Presidential election is still alive, will the above ponders find places in Nigeria’s political spaces?
