AUN matriculates 600 students, assures sustenance of excellence

Dr Margee EnsignThe American University of Nigeria (AUN), Yola, has matriculated 600 students for various degree programmes. The 600 are the ones that qualified

out of the 900 that applied for admission into the university this year.

Addressing the students at a ceremony to mark the official opening of the 2015/2016 Academic Year, the President of the university, Dr Margee Ensign, re-iterated the institution’s commitment to promoting excellence and integrity.

“We shall continue to strive for excellence in the work we do and practice the highest ethical standards in our day-to-day business of the university.

“To our students, new and returning, we pledge our very best efforts to provide you a rigorous and world-class education.

“It is our expectation that you, through honest hard work, will make the most of this precious opportunity.” Ensign said.

Margee, who described AUN as a premier development university in Africa, said the institution would continue to strive for the highest standard of excellence and integrity.

In their respective remarks, the Vice President for Campus Life and Dean of Students, Prof Mr Byron Bullock and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof Charles Reith, welcomed the new students and urged them to make maximum use of the quality learning opportunities provided by the AUN.
