PRESS RELEASE [A POEM]

At the APGA THINK-TANK, NIGERIA, the carpet crossing was not a day too soon.

It was either today, tomorrow, next month,

Even next year, or any other year.

The A.P.G.A was always open for business.

From the backseat of the Senate,

The lone senator surveyed,

and beheld the ambience of the Senate,

A Hawk-eye view others walking into the wells of the Nigerian Senate came to admire,

Senator Victor Umeh inadvertently, had the best seat in the house

He saw all,

‘could mix and match,

even before the Sergeant-at-arms said, Order!

And gradually other Senators wanted that vantage perspective.

At the APGA THINK-TANK, NIGERIA, it is our opinion that steadfastness has its dividends.

We say bravo to the lone APGA Senator

for your dignity in the face of manmade odds.

As the APGA clawed back

from the wells of electoral despondence

Whether you knew it or not, it was your burden to carry,

We must opine that you have carried it well.

Through thick and thin, til’ this glorious moment.

And God said, it was not good for the man to be alone,

He made Woman.

A good woman of focus, substance, means,

thoughtful, thorough, bold, Fearless,

A projector of no mean feat

Senator Stella Oduah, You are welcome

At the APGA THINK-TANK, It is not the size of the representation

Rather the focus and quality.

It is a new dawn for the APGA Senate Caucus.

Adaeze, it is now your turn, to spread the good message,

of the committed, devoted, dedicated and reliable

You were one big fish the APGA needed to catch, have and hold,

And we are very glad you chose to swim to our net, finally.

The antecedents of 2015,

may they never repeat

Bygones, will be Bygones,

At the APGA THINK-TANK, NIGERA,

We recall nothing, but forgive everything

For You.

We have no compunctions putting you on display.

Better in our camp than the others.

your presence gladdens the pragmatic in our politics.

Our electorate looks forward to the replication of the ideas, policies, infrastructure

and Calm,

which has made you a darling of our electorate.

May many more spew from your ardent mind.
