APC Pacifies Okorocha, Appoints Wife Into Presidential Campaign Team

The All Progressives Congress [APC] has embarked on moves to pacify the embittered Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha after a bitter and protracted battle with the party chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

To that end, the party has appointed his wife, Mrs. Nkechi Okorocha, into the 99-man Advisory Council for the Women and Youth Presidential Campaign Team to ensure the outgoing governor is pacified.

Following the appointed, Governor Okorocha congratulated his wife on her expressing delight.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Sam Onwuemeodo, Okorocha also commended the wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari for deeming the Imo First Lady fit to lead the team’s Campaign in the South-East.

According to the statement, Mrs Okorocha who was appointed the South-East Coordinator of the Campaign team is expected to campaign for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and the Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.

The governor also assured Mrs Buhari of the support of the government and people of the state in addition to his unlimited support to ensure that she delivers on the task given to her.

He equally congratulated all the 99 members of the campaign team and wished them a fruitful outing.

The outgoing governor, however, remained adamant in his support of his son-in-law, Mr. Uche Ugwumba Nwosu whom he has endorsed as the next governor of the state.

Okorocha had one time warned the ruling party that his son-in-law will win APC candidate in the forthcoming election later this year.
