An All Progressives Congress [APC] group known as APC Corruption Watchdogs [APCCW] has written President Muhammadu Buhari, lambasting the party National Organising Secretary, Mr. Osita Izunaso.

The group accused Mr. Izunaso of corruption, financial recklessness, abuse of office and party sabotage.

APCCW declared this in an eight-page letter addressed to President Buhari and made available to ElombahNews.

The group claimed possession of a memo showing how Izunaso, in collusion with other members of the National Working Committee [NWC], had been embezzling party funds since 2014.

It alleged, amongst other things, that the party National Organising Secretary has been colluding with party members to rip off the party through fictitious expenses and bogus claims.

APCCW, therefore, asked the president to ‘use his power as the party leader to excise these tumours from the party’s NWC and leave them at the mercy of law enforcement agents’.

The group hopes that the law enforcement agents “will ensure that appropriate justice will be meted out to them”.

They also warned of desperation by Izunaso and his cohorts to return to the NWC and continue with their wreckage of the party coffers.

Finally, they implored Buhari to take action that they accused persons do not return, rather, that they are stopped from ruining the party.

Izunaso, it could be recalled, has been embroiled with the Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha over the leadership of the party in the state.

Governor Okorocha had called him names and promised to send him to jail, as well as the party chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.
