Anyanwu resumes as PDP national secretary after losing to Uzodinma

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Imo State, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, has resumed his role as the national secretary of the Party in Abuja after losing at the just concluded gubernatorial poll.

Anyanwu came second with 71,503 votes, while the incumbent governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma who was declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, scored 540,308 votes.

Though, Senator Anyanwu had rejected the result declared by the electoral commission, describing the entire process as fraudulent.

In a video posted by PDP on its official X handle, shows moment elated staff of the party’s national secretariat welcoming Mr Anyanwu as he arrived at his office at the Wadata Plaza.

”Thank you very much. Thank you for all your support and your prayers. You are very strong. Very strong. It is not over yet. Thank you for everything. I appreciate” Senator Anyanwu said as he settled down to the day’s business.
