Anambra has endorsed Senator Ubah as next governor ~ By Chuks Kamen

The electorate in Anambra State say they remain convinced in the ability of the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, to deliver the dividends of democracy if elected the next executive Governor of Anambra State.

This was the consensus amongst the people in all the 21 Local Government Areas visited by Senator Ubah during his Ten-Day “Thank You and Declaration” tour of the State ahead of the November 6th governorship polls.

The tours which started at Nnewi North Local Government Area and closed at Anambra West Local Government saw the Senator welcomed at all the local government areas visited by a crowd of party faithfuls, Anambra stakeholders and lovers of the Ubah brand.

The outcome of the tours served as a clear statement of intent by Ndi Anambra who obviously have zeroed in on the YPP as the next vehicle for the total emancipation of the state, having tried the ruling APGA party for 16 years.

The tour served as an eye opener and a shocker to the opposition elements that have hitherto been waving away the numerical strength and structure of the Young Progressives Party (YPP).

To several respondents engaged during the tour, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah has displayed already that he possesses the requisite track record, influence and capacity to galvanize the numerous enterprising sons and daughters of the state into joining hands with him to deliver an Anambra that will be the envy of other states in the country. There is this general consensus that the right man that can rescue the state from the present doldrums and drive home pragmatic developmental strides for the state in the face of dwindling allocations from the Centre can only be a Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.

He did it during the pandemic, even in the face of opposition from the state government and galvanised people from within and outside the state to build two state of the art world class hospitals for the state along with well equipped ambulances. The entire period spent in raising the funds as well as delivering and equipping the hospitals was less than six months. One may recall also that the hospitals would have been three in number had the state Government not put stumbling blocks on the third one being built in the state owned institution, Nwafor Orizu College of Education in Nsugbe.

One may recall also that Senator Ubah effortlessly achieved the above despite the subversive activities of the APGA led state Govt that massively paid for and deployed both print and social media to dissuade people from harkening to the Senator’s call on them to come to the rescue of our people. That more than 400 responders, majority of whom are sons and daughters of the state, ignored the shenanigans by the state government and paid the stipulated amount of a million Naira and above set by the Senator as benchmark showed that indeed the level of trust and belief that they have in his ability to deliver is massive. Note also that the amount raised for these hospital projects would have even been tripled had the Senator not set a benchmark of one million Naira only from the donors.The hundreds of Anambra sons and daughters that showed interest in donating less than a million Naira were told to hold on.

The eagerness displayed by our industrious sons and daughters in contributing massively to this noble venture showed that indeed the Distingushed Senator enjoys wide spread confidence in his ability to deliver

Events in the coming weeks will put a definite seal on the general consensus in the state as the Green Revolution keeps spreading like wild fire across the length and breadth of Anambra.

Indeed, a new Anambra is coming with Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
