A source from the leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has revealed that nobody has bought the party’s ticket for the upcoming gubernatorial election form as at Monday, May 4, 2021.
Our source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, was responding to an inquiry forwarded by ElombahNews correspondent requesting information on the update of party declaration of interests by aspirants ahead of the
The questionnaire reads: “Please we need the name of all aspirants that have purchased form in the APGA. Kindly avail me of that please. Thanks in advance.”
The questionnaire came ahead of a Virtual Interview to be held by Elombah Television via its Zoom channel on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
Responding, the source said: “Hello Elombah, nobody has bought APGA guber form as at today. Thanks.”
The reason, it was gathered is the ongoing APGA leadership legal tussle between the two major factions.
One faction is led by ousted former party chairman, Ozo Victor Oye while the authentic group is led by the court recognised chairman, Chief Edozie Njoku.
ElombahNews gathered that Victor Oye refused to vacate office in line with court orders and has continued to parade himself as chairman of the party.
The theme of the interview to be held virtually by Elombah Television on Wednesday is “Anambra 2021 governorship election: APGA’s chances amidst party leadership legal tussle“.
Time for the event is 7pm Nigeria/London time while the guest will be Chief Edozie Njoku, the legal National Chairman of APGA.
