It’s rather amusing yesterday evening in Nnewi as Rt. Hon. Chukwudi Orizu declares intention to join Anambra 2021; in his comic presentation “acharo m Idonye akpati”.
According to online reports, Prince Orizu made this known in an indoor meeting with his fellow Local Government Caretaker Appointee of Nnewi North LGA. In the meeting, the Prince of Nnewi Community urge the Caretaker Councilors to be his foot soldiers.
We must recall that Rt. Hon. Chukwudi Orizu was into computer business when the Nnewi House of Assembly internal rotation circle got to Otolo Nnewi Community. Though it was alledged that the intention to run for the House of Assembly Election was initially declared by the Crown Prince, but he was advised not to run for the election with his subjects. Though this position is noble, but people from certain school of thought do not find it palpable as the Crown Prince should have been allowed to go through political leadership as a preparation to traditional leadership having acquired numerous degrees in varying academic fields including law.
This scenario was what ushered Chukwudi Orizu into the Nnewi cum Anambra political scene almost unprepared. On grounds of solidarity to the Igwe and a way of appreciating his unrivaled leadership quality, Prince Chukwudi Orizu was given the opportunity to represent ndi Nnewi and by extension see to the welfare of our Royal Father in minor domestic matters.

Aside winning the election in 2011, Chukwudi Orizu upon getting to the House of Assembly was made the deputy speaker to the Anambra State House of Assembly. Prince Chukwudi Orizu tried his best in representing ndi Nnewi and almost truncated the rotation and returned for the second time if not for the intervention of the committee led by Sir D.C Ofodeme. The committee simply observed that the second term condition is clearly enshrined in the Constitution of Nzuko Ora Nnewi. The paragraph reads; if a member performs exceptionally well, rotation will be freezed temporarily. Having noticed this clause, Prince Orizu came to Nnewi meeting and announced his intention to step aside for the rotation to continue.
Thus, the declaration of Intention to run for Anambra 2021 which Prince Orizu announced only to his colleague is a welcomed secret development, we will wait for him to openly declare, before we go into further analysis of his obvious capacity.
