The director general of President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi has lauded the tenacious attitude of former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, hailing him as a patriot.
Mr. Amaechi’s remarks came on the heels of series of scathing remarks by Obasanjo against his principal President Buhari.
Obasanjo had, on Sunday, lambasted the Buhari-led administration, accusing it of incompetency to resolve Nigeria’s problems.

Amaechi, who is also the Minister of Transportation, made the remark in an audio clip.
The clip was released by a former media aide of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri on hhis Twitter handle on Sunday.
Speaking, Amaechi said that Obasanjo is the only Nigerian and that he truly loves the country.
He said in the recorded audio: “I don’t think Nigeria can change, a lot of Nigerians are cowards.
“You know why Nigeria can’t change, it’s that the elites… and a lot of you are either elites or potential elites.

“He can be a criminal; he can be stealing money but he loves Nigeria.”
Recently, the Transportation Minister was heard on audio saying that President Buhari does not read or take advice .
He also lamented that Nigerians are suffering under his administration.
