Adams Oshiomhole Should Be Called To Order

I hope there are descent leaders in the All progressives Congress [APC] to call the National chairman of the party to order. Oshiomhole behaves like an educated illiterate.

Despite being a Labour leader and a two time governor of Edo state, he is still crude and unrefined democratically. He talks like a despot and vomits rubbish in the issue of defections that hit the National Assembly.

Adams Oshiomhole was a serving governor in 2014 when Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Ho. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal defected to APC and still retained his position as the Speaker of the House.

He retained his position because majority of the members irrespective of party affiliation were supporting him.

As an APC governor then, can Oshiomhole tell us where he condemned such act and asked Tambuwal to resign as Speaker.

Rather, he cheered Tambuwal then and hailed democracy. Today, he is visited with his own sin and he must accept it.

Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki can only be impeached by 2/3 majority of the senate.

What the constitution is not clear is whether a senate president can be impeached with 2/3 of senators present in a sitting or 2/3 of the entire 109 senators.

Adams Oshiomhole should stop citing the resignation of senator Akpabio as PDP minority leader in reference to his call on Saraki to resign. Both cases are different.

Akpabio cannot defect to APC and still remain the leader of PDP senators. It is only PDP senators that can elect their leader from one of them.

To the seat of the senate president, an APGA or ADC senator can also be a senate president if the majority of senators deem it fit to elect their leader from a minority party.

It is not an aberration.

Adams Oshiomhole should allow the senate to do their own politics. His interference is unbecoming and a threat to democracy.

APC must call him to order. His national chairmanship seat must not get into his head.
