A leading Labour Party governorship aspirant in the off cycle governorship election in Ondo State, Mr Otunba Charles Yemi Farimoyo, has applauded the outcome of the governorship primary election of the party held on Friday in Akure Ondo State.

He also appreciated the efforts of national leaders of the party for their progressive interventions and commitment to LP ideals.

Otunba Charles Yemi Farimoyo, while commending national leaders of the party for brokering an ingenious electoral consensus for the LP Ondo State gubernatorial primary said that, “the absolute survival and impregnable cohesiveness of our great Party is sacrosanct to me. So, despite the fact that I am not chosen as the consensus candidate of the Party at this moment, and knowing for a fact that the Party will perfect the process soon, I hereby state categorically that I will not allow the valuable time, priceless efforts and exceptional passion of all our distinguished party stalwarts and leaders to be in vain. I am a party man to the core and will always remain a party man forever”.

Also, addressing party delegates and supporters after the primary excercise on Friday 26th of April 2024 at the LP State Secretariat in Akure, Otunba Charles Yemi Farimoyo stressed that “despite our individual differences and Interests, we must be our brothers & sisters keepers and permanently remain united in the Labour Party as we have a very good opportunity to muscle out the Ondo State Governorship position and take over the governance of our lovely Sunshine State”

Speaking further he said, “Let us congratulate ourselves as a united family that we all could rise above the pains of the process and that we are able to transform our Pains to GAINS collectively, by ensuring that we were able to satisfy the INEC Guidelines so that we can field a candidate at the upcoming ONDO STATE GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION, thereby beating the deadline by the whiskers. Once again I say Bravo and Congratulations to us all for this great feat”

In conclusion the Ondo born business mogul, digital strategist and international project consultant counselled party faithfuls that “most importantly, the consensus candidate has also openly given his firm commitment to abide by the decision of the party at every stage of the ongoing INEC led electoral process to be finalised soon, therefore, let us all be calm, cool and collected with unwavering determination in being united towards the progress of our dear party, Labour Party”
