The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has ordered its members in the state House of Assembly to commence impeachment proceedings against governor Siminalayi Fubara.
The directive was formed following the governor’s recent declaration that the Assembly members do not exist anymore in the eyes of the law
Chairman of the APC in Rivers State, Chief Tony Okocha, during a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Tuesday said that the impeachment process was important because the governor “has insulted the sensibility” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who intervened in resolving the lingering crisis in the state.
Recall that Fubara, and the State House of Assembly have been having a serious face-off over the passage of the Amended State’s Procurement Bill.
