Pastor John Oluwadare, the General Superintendent, Christ Redemption Bible Church, Ikosi Ketu Lagos, has called on Nigerians to seek attitudinal changes instead of listening too much to prophecies by pastors.

He said this on Sunday night in his church while interacting with newsmen before leading the congregation for the New Year Service.

The cleric said Nigerians can be listening to prophecies made by clergy men, pointing out that without change of attitude to doing things, there may be no difference between previous years and the new one.

He urged Nigerians to be more obedient and supportive of the government with the right attitude.

He said that if prophecies made did not come through, does not mean God is a liar, stressing that such prophecies may have come from a wrong channel.

Mr Oluwadare also called on the church to play it roles as expected, not adding to the problem of the country.

He advised clergy men to stop negative statements from the pulpit, stressing that the Bible enjoined them to pray for the leaders.

The General Superintendent said that as pastors, they can be critical about negative policies and programme by the government, but should be done constructively.

He, however, called on governments at all levels to pay due attention to the plight of the masses and not the few rich and privileged ones.

The clergy said any government that can meet the basic needs of the masses would have written its name in Gold.

Mr Oluwadare noted that Nigeria has all it takes to make life comfortable for all Nigerians, stressing that greed by few had made this impossible.

On messages he received from God for Nigerians and governments in 2024, he said Nigeria will be Peaceful. The first three months may be tough, thereafter, things will be better; there will be progress in job creation, heavy rain will collapse big houses due to default in structures.

“Nigerians should avoid night traveling in the New Year due to dangers on the way, there will be strange delivery of babies; twins, triplets, quadruplets and so on.

“We should pray against death for three eminent Nigerians, pray against sicknesses in the new year. Parents should use one Wednesday to pray for their children,” he said.
