Analysts have envisioned a roadmap that will ensure that the All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA] wins the forthcoming 2019 gubernatorial election in Imo State.

Latest in the series of permutations is that of Mr. Eneh Victor Chigozie who assured that APGA has all chances to usurp power from the ruling All Progressives Congress [APC].

In a short memo he made available to ElombahNews, Mr. Eneh said that “APGA will likely win 2019 governorship election in Imo if the party leadership can be able to do the needful”.

However, they have to pay some price.

He reasoned that “President Muhammadu Buhari has recognised [Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha] and his faction in Imo state APC”.

The odds to this is that Imolites have totally rejected Governor Okorocha’s annointed son-in-law, Mr Uche Ugwumbah Nwosu, hence a little shove will surely see him pitch headlong into a political ditch.

This, according to him, paves the way for APGA which, he said, “can move fast and woo Ararume, Izunazo, Usodimma, Udenwa, Madumere, Ohakim and many of them into their fold”.

He believes that with a well-coordinated approach, Okorocha and APC will be history in the state.

Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha

On the chances of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] to return to power in the state, he said:

“With Hon Emeka Ihedioha piloting the affairs of PDP Imo state, the party won’t get much attention.”

Putting in consideration that so far, APGA has over 22 governorship aspirants in Imo state, he said that “if the leadership can bring them together after the primaries, Imo will fall for APGA”.

Eneh is not alone in the calculation that the Okorocha political dynasty is finished in Imo State.

In an earlier article, another analyst, Mr. Kenneth Uwadi finds the idea of enthroning Uche Nwosu as the next “King” of Imo State nauseating, saying “it is a third term agenda of  Governor  Okorocha”.

Hear him: “The qualities I expect of a leader include honesty and integrity, goodwill, altruism, foresight and a love of peace and justice.

“Uche Nwosu does not have those qualities. He sponsors thugs and takes great delight in seeing the people cry.

“Also, Nwosu is the son In-law of the governor of Imo State and his governorship is a third term agenda of  Governor  Okorocha.

“The mistake of electing Owelle  in 2011 has been a huge price that Imo has paid. His seven years in office appear to have been a curse rather than a blessing.

“Giving him a third term through his son in-law means the people of Imo will have to endure another four horror years of  wickedness, non-performance, wastefulness and merry-go-round.

“For the Imo working masses, Okorocha’s regime is nothing short of absolute disaster and everyone is praying for this madness to come to an end.”

“The truth must always remain the truth. Okorocha should finish his second tenure and go and rest. No third tenure for him through his in-laws.

“The fact that the Governor of Imo state even had the temerity to moot the idea of continuing to remain in power through his Son in-law is an insult on Imolites and any one supporting him deserves to be pelted with rotten tomatoes, eggs and sachet water.”

another source close to the Imo State Governor also confided to ElombahNews that Okorocha has been totally rejected by Nd’Imo in particular, and Ndigbo in general.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, revealed that Okorocha has been so deserted that he no longer even attends strategic meetings in Imo State or Igboland.

For a start, he cited the recently-concluded APC State congresses where Okorocha’s candidates were flung out of the window.

To add insult to injury, the party chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun swore in Mr. Hillary Eke, an anti-Okorocha man, as state party chairman.

He summed it up by saying that Okorocha is the architect of his own downfall due to an inherent attitude of not wanting anyone to progress beyond his permission.

Those he tried to stunt their growth, therefore, ganged against him to pull him down.

He also cited the case of Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu, who turned against the governor shortly after he was sworn in as senator, over his high-handedness.

Senator Uwajumogu, in a newspaper interview, tore Okorocha in shreds, depicting him as a tyrant and a greedy fellow.
